Canopy

Conceived as a gathering space and dancefloor for We Out Here Festival, Canopy is a lightweight architectural structure that brings shelter, rhythm and atmosphere to the dance floor. A space frame roof, infilled with fabric panels, is held aloft by a series of open timber posts, creating a permeable enclosure that sits lightly within the festival landscape.

During the day, sunlight filters through the fabric inserts, casting shifting patterns across the ground below. At night, the canopy becomes a projected luminous ceiling, responding to music and people to heighten the collective energy of the dance floor.
